About Liberia Works

What is Liberia Works?
Liberia Works is an initiative of the Ministry of Labour, Republic of Liberia. It connects job seekers, employers, and the Ministry in one place — to browse and apply for opportunities, register and manage a workforce, and meet national labour-compliance obligations.
Who can use the platform?
Job seekers looking for work, employers and organisations operating in Liberia, and Ministry of Labour staff who administer employment services and compliance.
Does it cost anything to create an account?
Creating a job-seeker or employer account is free. For questions about any specific regulatory fees, please contact the Ministry.

For job seekers

How do I create an account?
Register as a job seeker with your phone number or email, verify it with the code we send you, and complete your profile. Get started.
How do I apply for a job?
Browse open opportunities, open a listing, and submit an application using your profile and any details the employer requests. You can track each application under Applications in your account.
Can I edit an application after I submit it?
Yes — while the application is still open, you can update it from your Applications list. Once an employer has closed or decided on it, it can no longer be edited.
How will I know if an employer responds?
Status updates appear in your account, and you can opt in to email notifications for application updates and messages from your profile settings.

For employers

How do I register my organisation?
Register as an employer with your organisation details and LRA (Liberia Revenue Authority) registration number, then verify your account. Register as an employer.
How do I post a job?
From your employer dashboard, create a recruitment notice describing the role, requirements, and how candidates apply. It appears in the public opportunities listing once published.
What are quarterly workforce returns?
Registered employers periodically file workforce returns (Form III) through the platform to meet national labour-reporting requirements. Your dashboard guides you through what is due.

Work permits & compliance

Who needs a work permit?
Employers hiring foreign nationals apply for work permits through the Ministry of Labour. The process includes advertising the position as required by regulation before a permit is issued. For specific eligibility and requirements, contact the Ministry.
How is compliance status determined?
Your compliance standing is updated by the Ministry of Labour when it reviews and validates your quarterly workforce returns. Keeping your returns filed and up to date keeps your organisation in good standing.
